Kratos General Microwave’s Transmit/Receive Module (TRM) is a compact, high-performance solution engineered specifically for satellites phased array antennas. Built on GaN technology, it delivers high-power transmission for robust downlink performance and a low-noise receiver for superior signal sensitivity.
The TRM integrates an L-band to Ka-band up-converter with a power amplifier, a low-noise amplifier (LNA), and a down-converter back to L-band, supporting both Tx and Rx modes. An internal LO amplification and frequency doubling chain enables seamless integration with an external low-frequency LO source. The module also features an advanced calibration network for real-time phase and amplitude calibration across multiple TRMs, ensuring precise beamforming and long-term stability.
Designed to withstand the challenges of space, this TRM incorporates qualified, cost-effective components where approved, delivering a reliable, lightweight, and scalable solution for next-generation satellite payload systems.
